Sunday was great. Our team , though short handed, worshipped and God's presence was awesome. Feb. 19 we will be hosting a live video service with Gary Smalley open to the whole community. This is very exciting. Our School has a tenative opening date in the beginning of March. We had 10 children commit so far. Wow. This year has been one miracle after the other and our focus now is securing our alrady great outreaches and focusing on the new opportunities. The plan will continue as our church experiences new growth. Hey M+M

Sunday was a great day. Everyone is excited about Christmas and it looks like next year will be an awesome year. So many breakthroughs happening in peoples lives I want to challenge everyone to pick a family and pray for them this holiday. It might be the best gift they receive.

After winning for the best float in the Christmas Parade in Ponchatoula, I have been asked to represent the church at 5;30 today to pick up the award from the city. Last night we were in the Albany parade and out of 80 floats, we came in second. The church enjoyed this so much and especially the kids. They gave us a nice trophy, but we represented Jesus very well. I'm sure He was pleased. A couple of more weeks and this year is over. School work continues and we are down to the wire on the up grades. Hope to get it open soon. Merry Christmas. LOLM+M

Sunday was a great day. We continued on on the 7 dimensions of error. This has been a journey. This month we will partner with several groups to reach out on Thanksgiving. We also begin getting ready to do our last outreaches for the year. December will be full with Missionary Randy Bardwell, Our Christmas Play, Rev. Marvin Gorman, and ending the year with a video celebration of the year. Wow what a year.

Sunday was so great. We never expected the great turnout from the community for Fall Fest this year. We ran out of food half way through and had to run to the store to get it going again.
We began live broadcast and it has been a work in progress. Our first production after many trail runs ends up broadcast with no vocals. Go figure. We moved forward and now are really focused on finishing up the changes to our school to up-grade it. We continue to build a work here and God has blessed. Our K has welcomed little Olivia in Arcola in the work up there. They are really missed but God was honored. We continue as a team to expand slowly with our new college small group, club 57, and our new focus on music to continue to push the envelope. Still waiting for that Leader God has prepared to help with our expansion of our music. Our media team is continuing to grow as well as our established foundational ministries. Hey M+M

It finally rained this morning and settled some of the dust around here. We are poised to have a great Fall Fest this year and with the addition of the new games it will be a lot of fun. Club 57 is up and running, thanks J+A. Our Pod cast will begin soon, look for the link on our web page and work will start on the up-grades to the school to get it going. This has been a year with more outreach than ever before. This church has such a great team. Met with some of our city's leadership for Thanksgiving. Unbelievable is the only words that came to mind as we hosted our first Bike Rally. This church has so many warhorses that continue to reach out . I was humbled by the great outpouring of support from the north shore clubs. They want to make it an annual event here on the north shore. It was great to see the bikers out in the parking, some looking at bikes, some gathered up in a circle praying for some need, some witnessing, some just building relationships. What a great day to be alive and serving. Hey M+M let me know about camp.

It has been a while . Got here early this morning and spent some time reflecting on all the struggles we will face when I turned to God's word. With out a doubt Gods word has been the glue that helps holds me together. This week we get ready for Malanie Pichon Smith on our Super Sunday night. Next month we are hosting Hog Night motorcycle rally and this week our Honorbound men are out working again finishing up a project they started. Something new, we will begin food distribution on the second Fri. of each month. We keep working and God keeps increasing. It was such a busy Sunday. We had a Team Meeting early and the a Leadership meeting after that. We finished with 5 minutes to spare and the morning service began. This has been a quiet few days but we are still ratcheting up for WaToTo. I'm teaching a Charles Stanley book to our small group on Wed. He has such wisdom and his precepts help so many. People are really responding to the group. You need to hang on for about 6 more weeks and watch what you will see in your life. There is such an anticipation in the air and I know something good is happening. We just ended with the most successful year we have ever had. Each soul is worth the work. This is the break out year for many. It's been quite a run for so many, it's good to see them winning. Hey M+M

Well its off into 2010 for all of us. Sunday night was in Arcola at Keith's Church and what a joy. It made me think of all the small churches in America. Sometimes because they are small they are subject to out side forces and some times when they are small it is such a joy. As I sat in the service I recognized His presence and it did not matter where it was. It made me think of all the churches that some may not want to call home and to remember our Lord chose to show up there. WOW This month WA TO TO African children's choir will be here and folks are calling from all over for info. We begin new small group material and our super Sundays begin in Feb.

This month has been a whole lot of family and hugs. Not to be undone we have one more fellowship this Wed. and we can usher in the new year. Next month we have the African Children's Choir here again. What a joy these children spread. We have a new member of our family, her name is lily. I guess you re never to old to adopt a dog. Her and Sis. Debbie are becoming fast friends. This whole month will be on Fasting and Prayer. We are looking for great depth. Then ending the month with Wa To To will be so great. So many lives were touched this year that we can't begin to count them. I love the testamonies from this year. It has surely been interesting.

Well I cant believe it. My blog has been down because of a glitz. We had such an awesome holiday. Lots of family, food and hugs. We helped Serenity House feed a bunch of folks. Then our special service Sunday was so awesome. Each testimony was so uplifting. We have so much planned for Dec. you need to get a calender to keep up. We have been ministering on breakthrough and it just keeps continuing. Dec, Jan. and the rest of the year are emerging to be the greatest ever. This week we kick off 365/24. We are gearing up for Fall Fest 2009. This year will be outstanding. This Sunday Angel Burg from the Phillipans will be doing some ministry and we also will be baptizing quite a few. I love these family days . Our Board is going to take us out to eat for pastor appreciation and the fellowship is always great. This year has been very exciting and taxing at any given time. We are seeing such breakthrough in the lives of those here it's amazing to see lives refreshed and people still getting healed. I thank God for putting us in the ministry here. It won't be long till Bishop Ricard will be here and also the last Sunday of November, Bro. Chance , who has been rocking the north shore with fresh fire will be here. Hey M+M.

A big thank you to Journey Fellowship for hosting our fellowship last Sat. night. It was great and we left there full but went to a restaurant with 12 of our team and fed our bellies and then to top it off went to my house for pie and coffee. It was good fellowship and long overdue. I am amazed at the ladies involved in our Wed. a.m. class and how it keeps reaching out to our community. Davin and Laurie keep moving up and reaching great expectations with our youth. Thank goodness there parents see the value of sowing good into them. This month we are going to be doing fall fest with a added twist including seniors, wow. This year has been such a year and we are now beginning to see breakthrough in so many areas. We helped partner a project with our section and Journey with Dr. Rutland who is the Dean of Oral Roberts and I'm glad to say enough money was raised to completely build a church cash. WOW. Hey M+M

It is a beautiful Fri. morning and this week has been such a week of intimacy with our Lord. I am very excited because when His presence has been so strong it lets me know some are on the verge of a miracle. I eased in the back Wed. and noticed more new youth. I am amazed at how God takes the humble and committed and expands them. Surely our youth leaders have my heart and vision and boy it is producing fruit. I can't wait to see them continue to grow and anyone can feel good about their kids being with this couple. Our new service schedule is catching some by accident. Statistics tell us on about 55% of church people remain faithful every week so it makes it hard to to see them grow, but I know our Lord is faithful to help them.
We look forward to our men's breakfast this month. There always seems to be a lot to do here and Joe is doing great with his direction and leadership. This month look for revival to begin.

This weekend was so great. Having our District Superintendent and his wife here with us was great. After a week of hospitals and funerals it was good to get back to routine today. Our ladies are out at the W.M.'s rally so we guys can watch Monday night Football. Sunday ministered to so many as we move through breakthrough into some marvelous things.

Well 2 times in one day is a charm. We would like to welcome Lonnie + Debbie Lobell who have taken over as "Care Pastors" on our staff. They are already doing a great job especially pulling together all the outreach with our clothing store and our food store. Hopefully our clothing area will be doubled in the near future. We are about 80% complete on that move. We want them to merge with our food ministry and benevolent ministries. Wow expansion is great. Our Media team is coming together as we continue moving toward our live Pod-Cast and the expansion of our web outreach. I also would like to recognize our new teams to our Kidz Connection. JoAnn, Kim and Melissa are our newest Team Members and are continuing to bring up our connection.
Week after next Bro. Fulenwider will be with us, He is always such a joy.

Each one of my notes seem to say the same thing to open. I can't believe its been so long since I wrote. It has been such an awesome year. Now we embark on a brave new mission to change our Sunday services even further to create a relevant experience no matter what age a person is. Beginning Sept. we will have a classic service the first week and then our K-Team will usher in the presence the rest of the month. Both of our Teams are so gifted in the area God has anointed them to serve. This month has been consumed with finally moving into a new home and trying to remember where we left this or that. Deb. is doing so well, I ponder sometimes what God must have planned for her life with all she has been through, she still amazes me. I just can't believe it has been since the 22nd of June since I wrote. When you stretch your time sometimes it gets very thin. What a great week . It began Sunday as the Holy Spirit challenged us to "Be Strong and Prolong". Then Bro Scott Brewster who is speaking at a men's out reach every Sat. night in Amite challenged the men's heart Monday night. We had great responses from His Message. As usual the chicken was good and boy did we have desert. I'm reading a new book by Dr. George Wood and The Holy Spirit continues to speak to men's heart. Hey K it's up dated.It is a great Monday. Last week posed some great challenges but what a week it was. Pastor Ricard and his wife and staff were such great host as I ministered twice in Amite at the Vision conference. Our Trekkie's are living it up as discover new galaxies for men to live in. This has been great. This week we will have our video up to par and that will be fun. Our Video co is preparing a quote for our new t.v. out reach. The live pod cast have been great.

It has been such and incredible week as we move ahead with our month to strengthen and empower women. Sundays live broadcast was such an eye opener to the vast new world out there. It will be great to see where the Holy Spirit leads us. I an humbled to have been invited to minister to a group of about 45 key leaders in Amite. Say a little prayer for me that the Holy Spirit will open the doors to my mind and spirit and give me the right words to bless this group.

What a blessed day. I am reminded each day how faithful our Lord is. Our new small group studying the 7 essential relationships continues to grow in more ways than one. UN believable is the only words to describe the first part of this year. With my wife's surgery and recovery to building a new house to the responsibilities here at the church it has been incredible. We have seen God elevate many around us in the ministry here as they have picked up and carried the ball without any one even asking. How wonderful to be surrounded by such faithful servants. We begin a new small group study tonight titled (Seven Essential Relationships) it is so great. Easter we will have a special time water baptizing many and on such a special day. What a month it has been. With my wife's brain surgery and a few more complications arising the month has flown by. Every day I still thank Him for his mercy. Thank each of you who have lifted us up and who have kept things going for us.Soon we will begin a new small group study on Wed. night while the youth are rocking the educational bldg and Michell is at the helm of the Wed. kids connection. This year will be even greater. '

Today our team meets as we progress farther into where we are going. God has been redefining our church and so far it has been so healthy. I am committed to fulfilling the vision for our church an wish it were easy but it is not. One of our local leaders repeated something that I have heard from the top of our organization, (if you are not changing, you are not growing). The vision being grafted into our church and organization has to be motivated by what is His will and when we align with that it always seems to align with souls. I am so grateful for the unity we are now experiencing. This is a good sign when leaders will put there personal feelings on the side and do what is best for our church. I have discovered new ways to lead and true leaders emerge, others who may not share the vision or have personal issues are revealed. Either way God is glorified.

For those who travel along with our blogs and it kind of keeps you current you may have noticed I have been sorta not here. With the responsibility's of our church, building a new home, and with my wife's illness it has been a challenge to keep up. Deb. Lobell stopped to pick up one of my Experiencing God books today. She is an excellent small group leader. Her small group on Wed. A.M. has been going on for 5 yrs. She will fill in for me while I stay with my lovely wife through her hospital stays. I appreciate all our staff. They have come alongside and been so supportive.
We are asking our Church to fast with us as they are led for 21 days. We will be mapping out our vision and shape for our church during this time. We have already experienced so much change and this year I am committed to helping create a church that our Lord would be so pleased with. He has put so much new talent and folks who have a similar vision as I do, What a joy. One of the reasons for success is one mind and one accord. It was what God birthed the Church with and it is the backbone of where he will take it. This month is been on miracles. These sermon topics were laid out long before we had any sicknes. Good morning 2009. I hope everyone is as excited about this new year as I am. We kick off our adult small group here at the church on Wed. night with "Experiencing God". We used this material in our ladies small group on Wed. A.M. and it was great. There is an anticipation to the greatness of God. How about the last service of the year. Wow what a service. Then we kicked off the new year with a series "Four Ingredients for a Miracle". God touched so many with the first service in that series called "Thirsty". This Sun. will be so great as we have laid out the first four months ministry. I have bought a book for each of the staff here. It's called "Who Stole My Church". It will give the young insight into how the ever faithful feel about change in the church and it will help the faithful who have been there embrace the change and there value to the body of Christ to be a part. All are important to embrace true change if they have a unified vision.

Sitting here in the quiet of my office is always a great way to reflect on God's presence and seek him for His direction. We set up and fed 39 folks from Serenity House and I believe God was so pleased , we had 36 volunteers from our own church come out to serve who got to reach out, mingle and eat with our visitors.. It made it a day to remember for everyone. We had so much food we fed the 70 plus lunch and the entire shelter supper and I'm sure they are still nibbling on some of the food we prepared to be frozen for them. I'm reading a new book by Gordon MacDonald titled "Who Stole My Church". It will give any church member insight into why we do the things we do to become a soul reaching church. It is very well written and easy to read. I recently went to a meeting with some of our young leaders and we all got a book from the speaker. Boy I struggled reading his work. It was just hard to read and process. Later that month I mentioned that to our young leaders and they were experiencing the same thing. Its great when someone puts out a book that won't hurt your brain to process. We are adding the titiles from our Exodus project to our web sight. The Exodus project has been so great for our church. Many have grown and many have decided to reach out to their friends who this old world may have kept captive and bring them to experience the unconditional love of Christ. Hey M+M

It has been such a good day. Sitting here with our Saviour, watching it rain and keeping warm
This month is so full already with the outreaches and a wedding and just great things. It is hard to be distracted from where we are going. Thank God for those who draw close and become a circle of support, they make a big difference.

I had meetings after meetings today as our church continues to expand. Had a lengthy meeting with S.U.M. about us being able to open a fully accredited bible college here on our campus. Wow what an opportunity. This week is fall fest and this year will be so much better as we reach out into our community on one of the devils dark days. I hope we can snatch a few into Gods Kingdom this year on that day. I hope we always reach out no matter what a day is. Our Exodus Project continues this Sun. Our new K-Team is so young and they will be doing worship the last Sun. of the month as we continue to reach out. If you like worship a little young, come and see.

Today is Fri. Thank goodness cause its been a busy week. Just returned from a sectional ministers meeting planing next year. It is so great to see all the great ministries that are emerging out of this generation. Next week is Fall Festival and so far it will be a great night. What an opportunity to reach into our community. The Exodus Project has been so rewarding and Wed. night discipleship has been such a blessing. In Jan we will be cranking up a whole new series on Wed. night for the adults. This Sunday if you are young or just young at heart our new K-Team will be doing worship. Bro. I was just going over notes for a class I will be teaching on the Deity of Christ. It always refreshes me just to sit in His presence and when you combine that with the knowledge of who He is , Wow.
Will begin laying out finishing touches for our fall fest. The Holy Spirit has kept me on course by challenging me through the Word and by confirming it. I have never been so excited about the change and the challenges we are undertaking. It continues to cause us to expand and grow, of course not without pain, but I will continue to be strong for the Gospels sake. Hey M+M

Kind of rainy here and overcast. It seems like a rainy day comes now and then. Looking forward to Fall Fest this year as we expand our out reach. We will almost double the games and prizes and I believe we will have free snowballs. WOW. Pastor Appreciation Day was just great. I appreciate all the cards and out pouring of love from this church toward us. They always step up and take such good care of us. Had a great lunch with some of our new leaders. What a day at Christian Life. This morning was an unusual service. I was so pleased that the Holy Spirit still touches lives. Bro. Miller, the Dean at S.U.M. and I had a great lunch. It was a great compliment to have this man comment so positively on my messages as we move through the Exodus Project. Well its a beautiful Wednesday and this time of the year is so geat. This morning Mr Joe and me went to Raceland to drop off the food we collected. Pastor Troy was so glad to see the help. His church has been cooking hot meals for over 300 folks each month. Had folks in here all day. New people as our church continues to see God's grace shine on it. Will be meeting with those who will be involved with the fall festival tonight after our small group. Will begin a new series that will take us through the year, tonight. Sitting here reading a chapter out of John Bevere's book "Honor's Reward". It is a great book on how to attract God's favor and blessing. It is good to revisit this book because I had already read it. Amazing that even though you may have already read something, there is still relevance in the book that jumps out at you. It is the last day of August and I'm here at the church with 10 souls and myself who will be riding out the huricane here. I opened our facility as sort of a shelter as an outreach and so far i'm glad I did. We will see if it was a good decision as tomorrow inches on us. Today sent the morning being refreshed by the Holy Spirit. Took some quiet time and read some more writings by Pastor Mark Batterson. I really like that guy. Each week is being filled with invitations. Pastor Mike from Calvary called me yesterday and wanted to personally invite me to a special meeting. Our schedule is so full I had to decline. It is good to have a close group of pastors like we have here that communicate and care for each other. Everyone is beginning to gear up for the fall outreaches for our city. We had more food arrive this week for our food pantry as it begins to fill and take shape. The promises of God are so sure.

Are you ready for Sept? The days are counting down till the end of the year and what excitement it brings. We are already planning our fall festival ,Thanksgiving, and Christmas events. As always it is great to serve our community and to serve others. I spoke to Mrs Seymour of Serenity House and we will be feeding them lunch on Thanksgiving day. Also we are expanding that outreach to help feed some senor citizens in our community. Last year we put on quite a spread. Only have a few more weeks on the deliverance teaching and then will spend a few weeks on generation curses. I am still amazed at how things get out into the body of Christ that are received as fact. I plan on spending the rest of the day researching and working on web messages for Sept so I have to go. Hey M+M

Well it has been a great Monday already. Will have lunch today with the winners of our new slogan contest. This week is full of meetings. One interesting meeting is with an African missionary who is heading that way . It was good to see Liz's pictures of the Navajo reservation. She will be showing a video this Sun. This Fri I will have breakfast with our local leaders and Paul Ai. That ought to be great. Bro. Keith Hawes will be ministering this Sun. He has been such a great addition to our fellowship. August is in full swing. Last week got some time to spend with local leaders and Family Research Council. Go to there web sight it is (frcpub@frc.org) It was always very informative. Also all those school supplies are pretty much gone. It is good to know we can help our kids. Today we begin our senior fellowship lunch here at the church. It is always good to see the new ministries cranking up here at our church. This week has been full of meetings as we continue to expand our ministry. Thank God for surrounding us with such great people who have a heart to serve our community.

What an incredible week it has been. I cannot believe Monday was the last time I wrote. This week has been so full. Tomorrow we have water day here at the church. I am so proud of our staff as the continue to step up and minister to our kids and all who come. Water day has become one of our biggest attendance days.
It is also going to be very hot tomorrow. Food is starting to come in for our food pantry just in time for some of our families who are stretched. Excited about the new direction we are heading. The Holy Spirit keeps telling me to be strong and there is so much at stake for our families that we will continue to move forward.

It is going to be another hot one. I hope everyone stays as cool as they can. Yesterday it was great spending time with Dr. Miller, Dean of the School of Urban Missions in New Orleans. God has such plans for our north shore and I hope to be a part of it. They had 27 young people went down the river( wow ). From what I hear they all had fun and all returned home safe and sound. Team leaders Davin and Laurie are doing great mobilizing our young people. Today have a lot of things planned so I better get started. Hey M+M

It's another Friday morning and what a week it has been. Meeting with new people and expanding our staff. It good to watch God grow people and His Kingdom. Looking at video series on Demonology and Deliverance by Benny Hinn that a lady in our new class loaned me. I'm always looking for ways to learn and expand. I'm surprised at the amount of supposition that exist concerning deliverance in the body of Christ. I wonder some time if any one ever reads what is shared and then I might be in a bank or somewhere and someone will ask about something on our sight. This morning I 'm meeting with some volunteers who will be helping put together a food ministry in our church. We have some commitments from the suppliers who support second harvest in New Orleans. Have had a very successful week. Kicked off the 9 week teaching small group on deliverance. Will spend the day working . Well it's Tuesday night here at the church. I have made up my mind to start taking at least 2 days a week off and today was one of them. Got to work on the new house we are building and spend a few hours fishing and still made it here for the work night here at church.Thank God for the faithful volunteers who come out and labor. They have all gone home but we got a lot accomplished. Tomorrow I begin a new series on deliverance. Man it has stirred up some interest. It's always interesting to see the reaction of folks when they listen to you teach to see if it is something new or if it lines up with what they have been taught. It was a great day off yesterday. I had some concrete poured and no matter what happens in life there seems to always be an opportunity to share Gods Love. One of the construction workers I hired was going through a problem and God allowed me to be in position to reach out with Gods love. I have always been a risk taker and it awes me to see the outcomes of those risk. What a wonderful Lord we serve. Some times moving out of our comfort zone puts us in position to touch. Its another monday. The day is already filled with a to do list for today. Have been researching material for a small group on Bilical Deliverance and what a diverse group of teachings that are in the body of Christ. What's amazing is all of them claim to be correct. I really think when you blow away all the smoke there is a core of truth that can be found because deliverance is avaiable and accesable. It was good to see our national web sight mention one of the books i.m reading titled "UN CHRISTIAN". It is a joy when God leads and we all seem to be going down the right path. Hey M+M

Some of our staff went with me to our sectional BBQ at Journey Fellowship and the evening was great. The food was super and as always Pastor Doug and his church welcomed everyone so gracefully. The worship team from The Mission did a great job and of course the ministry was excellent. Our brother from the Philippians encouraged us to continue on our path. We all went to coffee and doughnuts after " like we needed that" but the fellowship keeps bringing us closer together. Well got to go now, think I will do a little maintenance here at our church. Was here in my office preparing for the Lion Sunday. Unless you are familiar with our series we are doing for men, we had the scarecrow, the tin man, and now the lion.
It has been so good. Next week I will be bringing some of our staff to a special BBQ at Pastor Doug McCalisters of Journey Fellowship. We will enjoy good food, fellowship of all the cutting edge ministers and have a special time of ministry by David Sobrepena who pastors in the Philippians. Sunday was so great. It has been such an experience to create new ways to speak the gospel to this generation. Our Tin Man showed up in this series we are doing with the scare crow. This Sunday the lion will be with us. I have a proverb that I was researching this morning in my devotions. It's Pro. 21:22 and it says a wise man can scale the city of the mighty. Something to ponder and research. Sis Debbie is still working in the Dominican Republic but is returning this week.It will be good to have her home. Hey M+M

It has been such a great friday. Our youth are heading home from what I hear was the best youth camp ever. God has been so faithful to touch our youth. I put Pastor Debbie on a plane heading the Dominican Republic. She is part of a team that will be working in an orphanage and a senior center there. Please remember her in prayer.
Our last costume just came in today for the series we are doing this month for men. Sunday we the scarecrow from Wizard of oz with us as I ministered on "Have you got a brain" and this sunday the scarecrow has brought a friend who neeeds a heart. The Tin man will be with us.
